Rediscover energy, confidence and clarity around food and health
Without deprivation, or overwhelm
You know what you want
✔️ To shift that stubborn midsection weight that you’ve heard can impact health
✔️ To wake up energised, rather than exhausted
✔️ To be clear on what you can do now to protect your long term health and quality of life
So, you get stuck in. Download a meal plan, join a gym and tell yourself you’ll go to bed on time. And it works for a while….. until it doesn’t.
Work is busy, you get distracted and it all unravels like a badly knitted jumper, leaving you feeling like a failure. Again.
Sound familiar? I call it ‘life happens’. And you’re absolutely not a failure. It happens to all of us.
Even with the best intentions, the brain is wired to stick to the old, comfortable patterns of behaviour. Change is hard.
And without support, you lack that all important accountability. New habits rarely flourish in isolation.
I frequently see these patterns in my 1:1 clients. Not to mention the confusion that arises from the avalanche of conflicting advice on social media.
But with a combination of carefully curated evidence-based information on health and nutrition, psychological tools proven to help with behaviour change and a supportive community, you can learn how to eat well and live well in a way that lasts.
It’s why I’ve created Reignite with Ruth.
An 8-week small group coaching programme specifically designed to help thoughtful women over 50 reclaim their health.
It’s designed to help you achieve 3 key outcomes
More energy
A noticeable boost in vitality and improved sleep quality. With fewer dips in energy during the day, you’ll be able to enjoy exercise and hobbies.
“My sleep has improved significantly as a result of some simple changes and this has had a very positive impact on my wellbeing”
Jayne
Confidence with food
Clear, evidence-based information about food choices, reducing guilt and diet uncertainty. Getting in touch with and trusting your body’s needs will allow you to be more mindful of what to eat to support your post-menopausal body.
“With Ruth’s support and encouragement, I have started to lose weight and discovered to my delight that my HbA1C has dropped to 39 and I am no longer diabetic”
Kay
Sustainable habits
Practical, realistic routines and habits that align with your lifestyle, helping you to make lasting changes without feeling restricted or burdened. This gives you a clear plan that supports healthy ageing so you can continue doing the things you love for longer.
“Ruth’s coaching has provided me with the tools, information and processes I needed to take ownership of my diet, weight and health and know how to make improvements. I can highly recommend working with her”
Gavin
Hi, if we’ve not met, I’m Dr Ruth Machin
I’m a retired NHS doctor, registered health coach and specialist in behaviour change. After more than two decades in medicine, I now help women over 50 take control of their wellbeing with clarity, compassion and an evidence-based approach they can trust.
My goal is simple: to empower you to thrive during midlife and beyond, cutting through the noise and confusion to build lasting, sustainable habits that feel genuinely achievable.
So what’s different about me? I follow the science and I don’t make promises I can’t keep.
I’m not going to promise you’ll ‘crush your meno belly’ or ask you for before and after photos. And I can’t do the work for you.
But if you are ready and willing to follow the programme, I can promise you that after 8 weeks, you will not only feel better, but you’ll have a blueprint of how to live in a way that supports your post-menopausal body as you enter your next chapter.

FAQs
-
Not in the traditional sense. Whilst many women do see a reduction in weight with coaching, this programme is focussed on long term health and reducing deep belly fat rather than a number on a scale.
-
This is an interactive programme and the live sessions are central to how coaching works. Whilst life happens, if you know you’ll miss several then this is not the right time to join.
-
You’ll need 90 minutes for the live session and around 30-60 minutes for reflection and reading between sessions. Your weekly actions will be personal as some habits are quick whilst others require a little more intention. You stay in charge of how to apply what you learn.
-
Probably, because this isn’t a one size fits all plan. You’ll learn how to make informed choices based on your body and lifestyle. And you won’t be doing it alone.
-
Just the basics. If you can join a Zoom call and use WhatsApp then you’ll be fine. I’ll send clear instructions and if you get stuck, I’ll help.
-
Yes. I have a medical degree from Cambridge (medical science and psychology) and London Universities. However, I no longer practise medicine and work solely as a health coach.
-
Yes, provided you’re under the care of a doctor or pharmacist. This programme can support you in building healthy habits alongside your medical treatment.
-
No, this isn’t a diet-based programme. I will help you build a balanced, sustainable way of eating but if you want to cut out entire food groups, we won’t be the right fit.
Ready to reignite your energy?
This is the first time I have run the programme, so I am looking for 10 founding members.
